Thank goodness she hasn’t figured out how to use the pedals yet or she would be down the street faster than her little red boots can take her. This was when she went beyond the normal ‘stop’ point and looked back to see if I was really watching. This kid keeps me on my toes!

Taylor Tuesday
Summertime means playing outside in the morning and then me running around like crazy in the afternoon trying to keep the kids entertained indoors. Thank goodness Taylor loves crafts. She did get creative this week and made her own accessories for her necklaces. Anyone else want a personalized necklace with a picture of themselves? I love her creativity and can’t wait to see what she does with it.

Lizzie has decided to time warp back to the 80’s and try to distract you from her rad owie near her eye with the coolest sweatband. When she stood at the bottom of the stairs and told me(while holding one finger up) that she would be right back, I never imagined her coming down looking like this. I tried to tell her that headbands go in our hair she promptly moved it back to her forehead. She also rocked this style with pride while walking through the mall. Keep on rocking your own style girl!

Looks like I’m not the only one to rock the pony tail during these hot summer days! Since there were only a few comments I’ve decided to send all you ladies some of these fun hair ties. So ‘MB Issac’ please send your address to me at wlambert at gmail.com. I have addresses for everyone else so be checking your mailbox for happy mail! I still have TONS of work to do in my craft room so check back for future giveaways as I find new homes for stuff from my overstocked craft room.

Taylor Tuesday
Let’s ignore that I let the kids play inside with their new umbrellas for a few days. Let’s ignore that my kitchen floor was covered in play kitchen food for their rainy day picnic. All I saw was this sweet wordless gesture from my girl. Love you too kiddo!

Friday Fun Giveaway!
So I am still working on my resolutions for this year and one of them includes cleaning out my craft room. Boy has it gotten crazy in there! I usually have to move a few stacks of something to see my sewing machine and we won't even talk about the floor. Luckily my cleaning this week leads to something fun for you. I took advantage of the Pick Your Plum mystery boxes a couple times and love opening it up to find all kinds of surprises. One surprises was cute elastic. I never knew exactly what to do with it until I received a cute elastic pony tail holder in my Birch Box one month. Preschool is out for the girls and summertime around here means lots of days of ponytails for me to try and beat the heat.
There are way too many for me to keep so I want to share the fun with you. All you need to do is tell me your favorite quick hair style for the summer by Monday, June 3rd. I will randomly pick two names and let you know on Tuesday who our winner is. I can't wait to hear your ideas!

Never a doubt why she is my little sunshine. Her smiles and sweet words can make the hardest day bright.

Lizzie found a horse just her size at the zoo last week and loved it. And no you aren’t witnessing the newest fashion in socks, but a MacGyver style solution to blisters when band aids weren’t available.

Have you seen Taylor? We took her to the zoo with us, but for some reason I can only find this cute butterfly.

Sisters Saturday
Our girls love to snuggle in our bed and watch TV. One rainy and loud thunderstorm morning prompted them to also create a pillow-fort of protection while watching cartoons. They were deep in concentration of Dora and never even saw me take the picture.

Dear Lizzie,
I want to take you so serious when you pout and cross your little arms like this. I want to understand why you are frustrated about something. I wish I could remember if it was that I wouldn’t give you candy or wouldn’t let you give the dog that 20th treat or maybe it was because I didn’t let you turn the TV off this time. I don’t remember because I was too busy thinking you were the most adorable little thing and I wanted to enjoy a few moments of what two year old Lizzie is like before you grow up too fast. I want to remember that you love these red boots and “helped” me put the bow in your hair that day. I want to remember that shortly after this photo you looked up with a huge grin because you couldn’t remember what you were made about either. Thanks for giving me some great memories!
Love, Mom

Little sister wants to be like big sister so much. So much that she tries her hardest to keep up while Taylor is riding her bike. Sometimes she gives in and just pushes the scooter to catch up. Don’t worry little one, it won’t be too long before you are cruising along after her.
